Waking up in the morning to find the milk and cookies gone..except for a few crumbs and

a special present left for Dylan just from Santa! When we visited Santa at the mall Dylan asked for a blow dryer and hair straightener. It was the first year he actually asked Santa for something so I HAD to go on a hunt.

Based on his look of totally surprise and happiness, I think we found the right gift

and now he is just like his Aunt Cherie and his Grandma Bogdanoff

and Dad's hair has never looked so great!

Keaton opened this huge stuffed puppy from his cousin Jillian. He LOVES it!! It is so soft and lovable. It is full of little pockets in each paw. His mouth opens up with a zipper and his back opens up. He has a new hiding place for his binkies!

Dylan had a play date with a couple of friends so we decided to make it a party...at the North Pole! Dylan helped sprinkle the "snow" on the ground and hang our sign.

We also decorated cookies. The boys were so good about taking turns with the frosting and sprinkles.

These frosting containers worked great! It was just like using glue.

We filled containers of food for Santa's reindeer. We are going to sprinkle it on our driveway on Christmas Eve to attract the reindeer to our home!

Christmas Tree!

We went up around Idaho City again this year to cut down our Christmas tree! The boys were anxious to play in the snow. We zipped up snow suits, jackets, and boots to begin our search for the perfect tree.

We had to take about 7-8 photos before finally getting a good one. The boys thought it was hilarious watching me run back to position after setting the camera. I LOVE their expressions in this photo. If only my eyes would have been open it would have been perfect!

Every year we go to Hallmark and let the boys pick out an ornament. I write their name and year on the bottom so one day they can look back and remember each Christmas and the ornament they chose. It has been a fun tradition.

Thanksgiving and such

Yes, my boys were Indians for Thanksgiving. I just couldn't resist! I have always loved holidays--decorating, cooking, making projects. And now that I have kids, I love the holidays even more. So were decided to have some fun!

Keaton loved putting his hand over his mouth; trying to "talk" Indian.

Keaton was eating a bowl of cereal and glanced over to see Dylan drinking the milk from his cereal bowl. So what happened next?

Dylan went on his first field trip! They walked to the fire station and met the firemen. Dylan was SO excited because Will took off the morning from work and went with him!

My little Keats is growing so fast. He is a bundle of energy. He is also very loving and tender. We get a lot of soft kisses from this boy! He loves to give us hugs...both arms around our neck. He also loves to cuddle with his stuffed animals. He is social and right in the middle of whatever is going on. I think he is right handed! He is quite funny, and he loves to make us laugh. Dylan is lucky to have him as a little buddy!

My big boy Dill Pickle. He is also very loving. When I drop him off at daycare I have to give him a hug, a kiss, and a nose (Eskimo kiss)...in that order. He LOVES vacuuming, laundry, window cleaning, cooking, and most recently...using the blow dryer and straightener. This kid is going to be some lady's dream! He is left handed and very creative. He loves doing art projects and he is very loving to his younger brother. Keaton is lucky to have him!

I loved these costumes!! My babies look grown up and I just laugh every time I look at these pictures! TOO CUTE!

What a character! He was so willing to let us paint his face, and he wore a gold earring the entire time we were trick-or-treating!

Here is our big boy! My how he has grown since last Halloween. He was so excited to be a pirate. He also wore a gold earring the entire time. He also carried his sword and his pumpkin basket. They grow too fast!

Keaton wanted to walk and didn't want anyone to touch his candy! He was on a serious mission.

Dylan did a great job at going up to the door. He would always wait for Keaton before ringing the doorbell. Then he would say trick-or-treat and thank you without being told. We received a lot of compliments on these cute pirates! When someone would stop and tell Keats how cute he was, he would put his hands together and look downward. I just wanted to scoop him up! Cute!

Keaton loves to find one of our hats! He will put it one and strut his stuff!

I am so cool, Mom!

The boys love to watch Will mow the lawn. They both keep their earplugs in and follow him around. Dylan will push his little lawn mower along with Will. And sometimes Dylan will use the scissors to trim our rose bush in the front yard!

They are growing and changing so fast! We are trying to make lasting memories...especially when we can slow down on the weekends and just be a family. We were planning something really fun this weekend, (not telling what 'cause we will do it one of these days) but Dylan had a fever on Friday of 102. The boys have been sick for 2 weeks so we decided to make it a lazy weekend. For starters we cleaned the house! This is all Dylan asks for..."Is it Saturday so we can vacuum, Mom?" Keaton also LOVES cleaning day. Where did these kids come from? =)
After the chores were finished we went to Farmer's Market and bought some delicious peaches. We made chili and cornbread for dinner and...

Will planted a garden this year and Dylan LOVES it! We planted carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, and tomatoes. Every night before bed Dylan has to check on the garden.

Dylan's new bunk bed. We bought this over the summer and I forgot to post about it. Dylan loves his new bed. It has a little staircase on the left side, which I like because we don't have to mess with a ladder. It has a little book shelf on the inside (behind his pillow) which we keep some of his special books.

California or Bust!

Will was best man in his cousin's wedding over Labor Day weekend! We left at 4:00 in the morning to make the 10 hour drive...which turned out to be a 15 hour drive with all the stops!

We loaded up the boys and set off! Keaton slept the first 3 hours so that was great. Dylan kept looking out the window waiting to see the sun! Our first stop was Winnemucca. It was 8 in the morning and cold!! We took the boys into McDonalds so they could run around in the play area. After the boys burned off some energy we loaded back up to continue our trip.

Soon we had to break out the snacks...Honeycombs cereal was a big hit as well as popcorn! I just closed my eyes to the mess...Dylan however continued to say that we really needed to use the vacuum. I couldn't have agreed more, buddy!

Keaton's new little love has been this puppy dog named, "Patches." I bought the boys these dogs (Dylan's is red and blue"Old Blue") last year for Valentine's Day when they were both SICK and using a breathing machine. Keaton carries his puppy around and hugs it. Such a love! And if we forget Dylan's puppy when we leave for daycare in the morning, we are in trouble!

Adventures with Dad

Several weeks ago Will decided to take the boys on a little road trip. It was a Saturday and I really needed to spend some time in the classroom before the new school year began. Will decided it would be fun to drive up towards Idaho City and take the boys "hiking" and huckleberry picking. So off they set full of excitement and a big bowl to hold all the huckleberries. I was at school for 9 hours and when I arrived home I was sure to hear about all of the adventures! Not to mention the big bowl of huckleberries that would be bringing some vibrant color to my fridge. Well what an adventure the boys had with Dad!

On the way toward huckleberry paradise, the truck got a flat tire! Will unloaded the troops and proceed to fix it while two small boys played along a dirt road...

With the spare tire ready to go, they continue on....only to find the huckleberries were not ready to be picked.

We went to Kentucky at the end of July! It has taken me forever to post because we have been so busy with school starting up.

We arrived at the airport at 6 am and Dylan was very excited!

Keaton looks a little tired in the picture, but he is ready for the adventure...we aren't sure if Mom and Dad are ready for the long plane ride with 2 kids!

We arrived in Kentucky and the boys had little "roses" for Jillian.

Dylan just loved his cousin! He always wanted to be right next to her, and he would talk so sweetly to her.

I love these two boys! They bring me so much joy. I can't imagine life without them.
He is all BOY!! Keaton loves climbing, running, and playing hard. He is also such a lover. He will come up and give us "kisses" or lay his head on our arm for a "hug." I am so glad he is a part of our family.

This one is also totally BOY! He love riding with Dad on his 4 wheeler, "driving" Dad's truck into the garage, and going "hunting." He also loves hanging with Mom. He loves cooking, vacuuming, and helping with chores around the house. He is going to make some lady very happy one day! (but that better be a long time from now!)

Father's Day weekend we watched Sean. He is Will's cousin's little boy. He just turned six. We took the boys on pajama night! They were so excited as we head to Blue Cow for a frozen yogurt treat!

We decided to go for a walk even though it was a bit chilly! We only lasted about 20 minutes before we had to head home, but the boys LOVED being in the stroller. We will have to do more walks once summer hits!

Keaton loves his walker. He roams all over the place at my parent's house. They had wood floors so it is much easier than our house. He wants to walk so BAD!! It is going to be sooner than later!

Here is my big 3 year old! I can't believe he will start preschool this fall. Where did the time go? He is just so loving and sweet. I couldn't have asked for a better boy!

We had a Mickey Mouse themed party so we started off the morning with Mickey Mouse pancakes!

Dylan loved the music in this card. He saw it while we were at the grocery store a few weeks ago so I bought it to give to him on his birthday. It is great he is young enough to be able to buy presents and things while he is with us.

A glow in the dark train track! Auntie Cherie and family sent Dylan a gift card to pick out something he wanted. He picked this so we contributed a few bucks to the cause!

Dylan was a very brave boy! His treatments take about 10 minutes. We started with every 4 hours for the first couple days now we are doing them only twice a day. He is much better.

Treatments at night are not much fun...for anyone!

Valentine's Day

Both kids ending up at Primary Health on Sunday, February 13th. Both had ear infections and colds. I went to our pediatrician on Monday (Feb. 14th) because Dylan was having difficulty breathing. She was very close to admitting him to the hospital. She gave him a breathing treatment in the office and then we had Norco deliver a machine that night. Keaton was also given an inhaler with a mask. When we finally made it home we had the boys to open up their Valentines gifts from us.

They still gave me big smiles!

Dylan named his puppy Old Blue.

He also got the book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."

Keaton named his puppy Patches.

He got an animal texture book.

I had these little mini pies and even though Dylan didn't want to eat it, I had to capture the picture!

Why is it that your second child grows up before your eyes? I can't believe how big my baby is getting! He has his two bottom teeth and his top "fangs." This is the exact way Dylan's teeth came in.

Today Keaton decided he didn't want to sit in his little bath tub anymore! He wanted to take a bath in the big tub like his brother.

Now he needs to practice sitting down.

Keaton has been really sick since January 8th. He has been throwing up and having REALLY bad diarrhea. Our doctor had us switch to soy formula for a few days to see if that would help and try feeding him some yogurt. If things don't improve, we will be taking in a stool sample to the lab to see if he has some kind of virus. Hope he starts improving soon. We have not been sleeping well. He is still such a happy little baby! His 2 bottom teeth are in and he has 1 vampire fang! Too cute. He is also CRAWLING now! I love it!!!

Dylan is such a big boy. He is pretty much potty trained. He caught on so quickly! He continues to wear a diaper at nap and bedtime just in case. He will let us know when he needs to go potty so that is good. It is still a little scary to go poop on the potty but he is getting there. He continues his speech therapy. He will be tested by the school district before his 3rd birthday to see if he qualifies for services. He has an amazing vocabulary but his articulation is in the 9%. He tries so hard and is doing awesome!

Days leading up to Christmas

We had the boys open up their Christmas Eve presents a couple of days before the 24th because we wanted to drive around and look at Christmas lights. So...

they opened their new PAJAMAS and we made "snowman soup!" Dylan was so excited!

Ready in our Christmas pajamas and we are off! Will and I had to stop at Starbucks first of course. We had a fun time driving around and sipping on our drinks. The boys fell asleep before we made it home.

Dylan wore this outfit on his first Christmas. It is 12 months so a little big for Keaton. I couldn't get the hat to stay on to cover his ears. He still looks adorable however!

He is growing up too fast! I have especially felt it this time around.

Christmas Eve

My boys got all dressed up for our Christmas Eve dinner at Grandpa and Grandma Pemberton's. We had prime rib, chicken with a delicious mustard sauce, cheesy onion potatoes, salad, and our tradition--artichokes! We finished with a delicious chocolate dessert and coffee. Dylan had some hot chocolate!

Dylan received some pretty cool Christmas tree glasses. I got a snowman pair. We had a fun evening! Unfortunately it was late when we left and Dylan fell asleep in the car, so I had to set out the cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.

Christmas Morning

Dylan rushed to see what Santa had left in his stocking. He also noticed Santa had some delicious cookies!

He received some fun bath things--reindeer sponge, body paint, bubble bath, and bath confetti.

Keaton was so serious about opening his presents! He loved the wrapping paper the most!

Dylan is playing with his new tool set and Keaton is studying his new books!

There's my boy! He can move around so well (creeping) but he has yet to actually crawl.

Dylan LOVES music and dancing so we bought him this really cool piano. It comes with a microphone for him to sing into. He can change the tempo, add instruments or record the music he plays. My favorite part--it has a volume button! He loves it!!

Grandpa and Grandma Pemberton came over for breakfast. Dylan had to try on Grandpa's shoes!

Back to the Pemberton's Christmas night. Keaton loves to use his little walker. He can zoom around pretty well!

Dylan got some cool Batman pajamas with a cape from his Auntie Cherie. The boys are checking out their new race car set!

The only thing missing this year was Grandpa and Grandma Bogdanoff! Maybe next year! We miss you! Thank you for our presents and the money for the boys. Dylan went on his first shopping spree with me and spent some of the money on some much needed new clothes!! Thank you!

Finding the perfect Christmas tree

On Saturday we packed up the truck and headed up to Idaho City to cut down a Christmas tree. We are excited to one day take the boys sledding when we go. It was a lot of work packing around a 7 month old and helping a 2 1/2 year old hike through the snow, but we had fun!

I am sure these 2 made Santa's nice list!

Dylan loved hanging ornaments and wanted about 10 in one location. We had to move them around once he went to bed.

He is still my little neat boy and LOVES to clean! Can you imagine what it is like when he sees the pine needles that have fallen on the tree skirt and floor? He is constantly running his toy vacuum cleaner that is hooked up to his toy hoses that inserts into our central vac in the wall. I will have to take a picture of his contraption. It is too funny! We finished the evening with a little party. Dylan loved the clam dip and chips!

This is the morning on Keaton's surgery for tubes. We had to be there at 7 AM and poor Keaton couldn't eat anything from midnight on. Luckily we had the first appointment. I couldn't imagine going in at 11 AM and not being able to feed him.

They took us back to a little room to wait in while the doctors went over everything. The hardest part was when they came to get Keaton from me and I just had to wait. The surgery only took 10 minutes and then they brought him out to be. He was still knocked out so I just had to hold him while they monitored him until he woke. He was awake in about 5 minutes and drank a little from his bottle, but he was ready to head home. He was a little fussy throughout the day but not bad. What a trooper!

The next day was Dylan's day. He had a dentist appointment, hair appointment, and then a lunch date with me. I had asked him where he wanted to go to eat and he replied, "Bardenay." This just cracked me up! He did awesome at the dentist! I was nervous because I didn't know if he would let them clean his teeth.

He was able to pick out a pair of sunglasses to wear because of the bright lights and there was a movie going for him to watch.

He was a little nervous and had to hold my hand the entire time. He did let me take some pictures but had to hold the other hygienist's hand.

On his way out he received a little goodie bag with a new toothbrush, floss, floss picks, a timer, and a token for a prize from the "treasure box." He was very excited! Even though he told everyone he was going to Bardenay for lunch we ended up going to White Water. Bardenay was too far to drive and to make it to his hair appointment. He was such a good boy at lunch. I just love to see what a well-mannered little boy he is. I love my Dylan Caden.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at my parent's house. Dylan brought my mom flowers. This was the cutest thing ever. He walked right up to her and said, "Happy Thanksgiving, Grandma!"

Keaton will have tubes put in his ears on Monday! =( He has had 4 ear infections since I began working in August. The trend is about every 2 weeks. He has been on 4 different antibiotics and nothing completely clears it. Hopefully the tubes will help. We have to report in at 7 AM. He can't drink after midnight so luckily we have the first appointment. I don't know why, but the hardest part came when during our consultation the nurse told me to bring him in his pajamas! It just sounds so sad. They will put him under with a mask so that isn't too bad. The entire procedure should take 15 minutes and he should feel fine by the afternoon. We will hope for the best for our little guy!

An Update (finally!)

The boys been fighting colds for a month! We have been to the doctor twice but with no ear infection, they won't give them anything. I finally got sick on Monday and took Tuesday off. I went back to work on Wednesday, but by the end of the day I was feeling miserable. I worked on sub plans to take Thursday off. While I was at home resting, our daycare lady Miss Mandy, called after Dylan woke up and said he had a temp of 101. I rushed down to pick up the boys and took them to the doctor. I had made a Dr. appointment for Friday because I was going to insist they give them something for their colds/cough. Well, we went in Thursday and it turned out Keaton had a ear infection! You would really never know this kid is sick! He doesn't act fussy or anything. He is just so good natured! I explained the whole story about them being sick since August 26th and she said that the medicine given did its job initially but didn't clear up the bacteria. So now both boys are on something new that will hopefully take care of the problem.

I went to work Friday, only because there was no way I could go back Thursday night to write sub plans for Friday. The day about killed me! Saturday morning Will flew out to California for his grandma's 90th birthday and I went to the doctor! Luckily my parents are around and have taken the kids both Saturday and Sunday. I feel so crummy! Will comes home tonight so that will be nice. I head to work tomorrow and I hope I am feeling better.

Dylan got a haircut soon after this picture was taken. He looks so little to me in this picture. When his hair is shorter he looks like such a big boy!

My sweet boy! He rolled over for the first time on Saturday (October 2nd) and I was so glad I got to see it! I always dread that his first milestones will take place at daycare. Not this one! It was so cute...I place him on his blanket to play and when I came back in the room he was on his tummy! I started getting all excited and he held his head up high and gave me the cutest smile. I knelt down (still really excited) and he looked at me like, "who are you and what have you done with me mom." The reason... my voice is so cracked and scratchy that we I got excited for him my voice was pretty high pitched. I am sure he thought I had lost it!

My other sweet boy! How big you are getting Dylan! I started a journal for him after his first birthday. I figured his baby calendar did a good job remembering the things he did for the first year, but I wanted to remember everything else after that. I was about a month behind, but being sick and on the couch all day I finally got caught up. I was reading some of the entries written several months back and I cannot believe how much he has changed. And what a truly sweet boy he is.

Today he was walking around the house putting toys into this beach bag I have. We usually use it when going to Miss Mandy's house but I had packed some things in it yesterday for my parents when they picked up the kids. So here is Dylan going around finding things to put into this bag. He packed his teddy bear, puppy, binkies, some little toys Keaton likes and a couple of books. I asked him what he was doing and he wouldn't answer me...he was so focused on finding the right things for this bag. Finally he finishes and put the straps on his shoulder and says, "go grandma's house." He is such a character! I thought it was sweet he had looked after his brother and packed a few things for him.

A trip to the ER

We have had quite the time since starting daycare. After the first week Keaton had a horrible cold and was so congested that I took him into the doctor. He had a double ear infection and was given some meds to help clear everything up. Dylan also had a cold but no ear infection so they didn't give him anything. Well after a week and half of dealing with a cold we noticed he was extremely warm. We took his temp Sunday (day before Labor Day) and it was 103.0, so we gave him so Tylenol. We checked him again in 45 minutes and it was 103.5. We watched him throughout the night and finally at 4 AM I called my parents to come up and stay with Keaton while we took Dylan to the ER. His temp was 104. They took chest x-rays, and kept him for a couple of hours. Luckily no IV's! They treated him for a sinus infection and sent us home when his fever finally came down to 100. It was so scary! He is doing much better. He has a nasty cough and runny nose but is playing as hard as ever. Hopefully we have put in our time in the sickness department! It has been a rough couple of weeks since school has started!

I am just thankful my boys are on the mend.

Oh, and something to make you laugh: Dylan likes to "tell" you where they stuck the thermometer. He looks down and points up to his bottom and say, "ouch!" Too cute!

First Day of Work/Daycare

August 23rd was our first day of work and daycare. I took this picture of them before we left for the morning.

Well the first day went very well! Dylan waved to me from Miss Mandy's door and said "bye mama." No tears from Dylan...just a few from me! My boy is so big! I took him out to TCBY afterwards and he wanted chocolate yogurt with mini M&Ms. Yummy! Keaton also had a great day! Smiles and cooing!

We love Miss Mandy! She fills out a page form on each kid for the day. For Dylan it lists what he eats for breakfast, lunch, and snacks and if he eats all, some or none. She records diaper changes and if she uses diaper cream. If and when sunscreen is applied. There is a list of 12 adjectives and she circles the ones that describe Dylan for that day (energetic, quiet, helpful...) She lists activities he participates in. So, his first day he had ground turkey tacos! I am lucky if I can find the time to make a PB&Jelly. One morning they had spinach pancakes, which the kids LOVE because they are green! Activities he has participated in: painted with broccoli and celery (which he brought his painting home), playing catch, going for a walk, feeding the fish in her pond, legos, and of course helping Miss Mandy unload the dishwasher!! That is my boy!

I also get the same form on Keaton. It is nice to know activities he does in the day. And she sticks a cute little sticker in the corner! I am keeping all of their forms in a binder so they can look back on them when they are older.

It was a cold raining day, but we decided we needed some fresh air so we met some friends at the park. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of Dylan playing. I had to keep Keaton under the covered area while Dylan played with friends on the slides.

He has been a little timid of the shower, but we have been taking swim lessons all summer and we have to shower before getting into the pool, so he finally decided to try it out at home.

The Zoo

We went to the zoo a couple of weekends ago. Dylan saw the goats and said "puppies." He was so excited to touch them and he even was able to feed one!

This was one of his favorite parts of the zoo!

My little boy is growing up too fast! I cannot believe that 2 1/2 years ago he came into my life. What did I do before I had him? He is a loving, sweet, funny, kind little boy. I am so blessed to have him as my son. Sometimes I think my heart will break because I love him SO much, if that makes any sense at all.

And here is my other little sweetie pie! I lucked out with this little guy. He is so mellow! He smiles and laughs and knows my voice. I love to see him turn his little head when he hears me speak. He melts my heart and I cherish each moment with my Keaton. I am so lucky to have these two boys. I cannot imagine life with them!

Dylan loves being outside, especially with Dad. The lawnmower, leaf blower, and trimmer are a little loud for him and so he doesn't like to be outside when Will is working. Well, Will gave him some earplugs and Dylan loved wearing them AND being outside with all of the loud machines. He wanted to leave them in even after he came inside.

Haircuts and Water!

Will's parents came for a short visit a couple of weeks ago. Dylan was able to finally get a haircut! He really doesn't like to get his hair trimmed and will cry the moment we step foot inside the salon. He did a very nice job for Grandma and even wore a cape!

He had to have someone hold his hand while getting his hair trimmed. It was more like a death grip, but at least their were no tears!

He loves spray bottles! This kept him occupied.

Nancy, Dylan, and I went shopping while Bill watched the littlest rugrat. We went to Toys R Us and Dylan was SPOILED! He came home with some new squirt guns, balls, and a new sprinkler!

Our friend, Rob, came for a visit and a fishing trip with Will. He brought these Daniel Boone hats for the boys! I have never laughed so hard! Dr. Appointment

I put Keaton on my bed so I could get ready. He has know idea that he will be getting shots in a couple of hours. =(

I love this picture! He just looks so big.

He did very well at his appointment. He didn't cry until the shots came. He had to have his temp taken in his little bottom, and he just laid there looking at me. Dr. Alley said he is doing great! He is doing things a 4 month old would do. He has great head control, tracks with his eyes, and has found his fists. She said he is very mature for a 2 month old. I always hate when it is time for shots. I just cuddled him and couldn't look at the needles. I am sure he was wondering why I was letting the nurse hurt him! After it was over I picked him up and he laid his head on my shoulder. He stopped crying and the nurse started to leave and looked at him and said he was giving her the saddest little look. I peeked over at him and his little lip was pouting. =(

Dylan loves to use the blow dryer. One morning he pulled open my drawer and took out my hairbrush that I never use and started brushing his hair. I don't know how he figures these things out all on his own! He cracks me up! He was so excited to see Dr. Alley because she has a big train that goes around the entire office on a track. He also gets a token to put in the ball machine for a big bouncy ball. He was concerned about getting a shot though. He kept pointing to his leg and would have to remind him that it was Keaton getting the shots not him. He was a big concerned brother when they were sticking needles into Keaton. He was very quiet and serious. When it was over, he had to "help" me put Keaton in his car seat and then he kissed his arm. What a sweet boy!

This year we celebrated the 4th of July at our house. I love planning parties and coming up with fun little decorations or food to make. A teacher friend gave me this idea--mini "hamburgers"

This was the centerpiece. It is hard to find blue candy! I was wanting smaller fish bowls, but I couldn't find any. It took a lot to fill this big thing, but I figured I could save the candy for "potty" treats for Dylan or my students next year.

It was a hot afternoon, but we decided to go for a walk and play at the park. When we came back, I decided to let Dylan play in the sprinklers. He had a blast! The only problem now is that he asks everyday to turn on the water.

We didn't bother putting on swim trunks....

we just went right for it!

Dylan was outside working with Will in the yard, and I was inside taking care of Keaton. I heard the doorbell ring and when I answered it, there was my little boy holding a flower out to me! SO PRECIOUS! I went to grab my camera to get a picture and he was in the process of pulling off the petals one by one...

Will took Dylan out scouting for his hunting trip in November. He loading up the backpack and drove up past Idaho City. They hiked through some snow! Dylan loved watching our dog, Missy, push her nose through the snow. Next thing Will saw was Dylan jumping in an ankle deep puddle! They ate lunch in the bed of Will's truck and had a great time! When Dylan arrived home he found his toy truck Grandpa and Grandma Bogdanoff bought him and tried to sit in the bed...boys are so funny!

In Memory of...

Michael. One year ago today Michael Jackson died. I can't believe it has already been a year! It is so sad, especially for his kids.

Just like Mom, Dylan loves his music! When Dylan was a baby he would cry every time we went anywhere in the car. One day I was so tired of listening to him screaming that I turned on Michael Jackson's song "Man in the Mirror" so I could relax. Suddenly, Dylan stopped crying! It was a miracle. I tried this on several occasions just to see if it truly was the music, and sure enough it was the only thing that would calm Dylan. Will didn't believe me until he witnessed it with his own eyes. Every since, Dylan has loved his music. He also dances in the family room when listening to it. That's my boy!

Oh, dear cousin David, I know you will be mourning as well today. You probably had a hard time getting out of bed this morning. I am sure you dressed in black and listened to Michael's song "Gone Too Soon" as you headed to the office. Keaton is growing like a weed! He began wearing 3 month clothes last week. I can't believe how fast they change. He is such a good baby. He is sleeping 3-4 hours a night and actually

only woke up once last night!

Dylan loves Keaton and will ask to have him sit right next to him. He has even tried to pick him up which I have to remind him not to do. Keaton goes along with for the ride.

Playing outside...wearing a jacket...in June....we can't wait for some warm weather!

Best buddies

Tummy Time! He is a strong little guy! He has been lifting his head like this for the past couple of weeks! Dylan loves watching him when he is on his tummy. He will lay right next to Keaton and just watch him and talk to him. Usually he will say "hi" over and over.

Keaton has been smiling since he arrived! I finally caught a smile (almost)! He was smiling like crazy, but I was pumping and couldn't get the camera. By the time I finished and grabbed the camera he was all smiled out! I love my two boys!

Dylan has been saying a little prayer every night. It is too cute how he folds his hands and the few words he will copy. Our pray goes like this: Dear Jesus (Dylan says Jesus) I love you (love you) Bless mommy (mama) daddy (dada) dylan (ilan) and keaton (eaton). In Jesus' name amen (amen). It is just the cutest!!!

Being a mom is the greatest joy. I am so lucky to have such 2 amazing boys!

Keaton has already gotten so big! He is beginning to outgrow his newborn clothes. He is a pretty mellow little guy and oh so cute!

Cherie bought these matching shirts that read, "Get in line girls." Will thinks he needs one!

Watching cartoons while Mom is getting ready. I just happened to look over and he had his little leg propped up. I ran and grabbed my camera. Too cute!

Dylan needed his own chair as he was always trying to sit in Keaton's bouncy seat. Grandpa and Grandma Bogdanoff took pity on him and left us money to buy him a chair of his very own. We looked at many different stores and had Dylan try them out. We were hoping for a leather chair, but they just weren't very comfy for him. He really liked this one as you can tell in the picture!

I decided to make Cherie a diaper cake for her new little baby come August. I had never made one before, and it took me a few tries but I think it turned out pretty cute!

Keaton William

Keaton William arrived Tuesday, May 4th at 12:03 pm.

I was induced at 7 am and at 9 am I was having heavy contractions. I was dilated to a 4 and decided it was time for an epidural. The epidural went in a lot better this time around. When I had Dylan it was very painful! After my epidural my water broke! Around 10:00 am my contractions were becoming less frequent, so they decided to put me on petocin. Within the hour I was having unbearable contractions and obviously my epidural was wearing off. They called down so that I could get another dose of medicine. He FINALLY arrived! After only about 7 minutes of him leaving I felt pain, pain, pain. They checked me and I was at 9 1/2 dilated. They quickly called my doctor. I was hoping the epidural would kick in before I had to push, but no such luck! I felt pretty much everything and gave birth to a 9 lb 8 oz "toddler" as the doctor put it.

Some things have been very difficult for Dylan. Our pediatrician said it typical takes 2 months for older siblings to figure everything out. In the meantime I have 2 of the cutest boys I know!

Dylan received this sandbox about a year ago from Grandpa and Grandma Bogdanoff. We decided it was time to fill it up with some sand!

Friday was Grandma Pemberton's last official day to watch Dylan. Well, they spent some time at Toys R Us and came home with this cool slide, a picnic table, and a play lawn mower!

He loves this slide! He was a little nervous at first, but once he got the hang of it, it was all smiles!

Wheee! I didn't get a picture of Dylan using the lawn mower, but it is pretty funny! He has watched Will mow the grass, so he knows how to work his little mower. He pulls the cord, pushed a button, and pulls down the lever. Then he walked along the edge of the fence pushing the mower right next to it. When he got to the end he lift the front wheels (like Dad) and turned around. It is a crack up!!

Today was my last day of work! I had a doctor's appointment on Thursday. I am still at a 2 but went from 25% effacement to 60%! I was in a little bit of a panic! My doctor is only on call Saturday before my induction date (Tuesday). I have to put my feet up ALL weekend, which is so hard for me to do when I want everything in order--grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning...my poor husband has a busy weekend! Plus, he has class Monday night so he has a lot of school work to get finished by then. We are hoping to make it until Tuesday....stay posted!

We decorated Keaton's room with an airplane theme. It turned out pretty cute. I have 4 more days left of work!!! Then a long weekend ( I am taking a personal day on Monday) and I will be induced on Tuesday! I hope this little guy can wait until then!

Baby Update

I had a doctor's appointment today. I was a little nervous because I started feeling some contractions yesterday. I am really trying to make it to my induction date--May 4th. She checked me out and I am still at a 2 so I was happy! I need to stay off my feet as much as possible. I guess that means no housework for me! =) We will see what happens as the week progresses. It is hard teaching 2nd graders because they don't let you sit for too long!

This last Monday I had my 36th week appointment. Luckily I am happy to report Keaton turned and is now facing head down! I was so relieved!!! I picked a date (May 4th--my due date) to be induced. She will watch how I progress, and if I want, I can move that date up. I am hoping to make it to May 4th and have everything go as planned....stay tuned.

Pennies and Forts

I bought this plastic Coke bottle when I was in high school and started collecting pennies. It took about 10 years for me to fill it to the top. I finally decided it was time to cash it in!

Dylan was very excited about helping us count coins. The bank informed us that although we didn't have to roll the coins, we had to get an estimate of how much money we had. They gave us money bags to put the pennies into when we were finished counting.

So each evening, for a week, we sat and counted coins. We took the bags in, and they deposited money into our account. They sent off the pennies to get an official count. Then, they will either add or take out money from our account depending on what they come up with. I was hoping for $300.00; the grand total we came up with was $153.00. I suppose it was worth turning in, and I guess I start collecting pennies again!

We bought a new dresser for Dylan's bedroom because we moved out the changing table which supplied Dylan with drawers for his clothes.

And what do you do with a big empty box?

Turn it into a fort of course!

Easter

We dyed Easter eggs a few days ago. Last year Dylan wasn't old enough to participate, but this year we let him try it out! He loved it!

My parents are in Kentucky visiting Dan and Cherie so it was just the three of us for Easter dinner. We had ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, asparagus, rolls, and a yummy strawberry/orange slush drink! We bought strawberries and whipped cream for angel food cake but as of now we are too full!

We had wanted to go to the park or zoo, but it was too windy and cold here. We had a fun day in spite of the weather!

Spring Break!

I am finally on Spring Break!!! It is so nice to have some time off and to spend this week with Dylan. It will be our last real one-on-one time before the baby gets here. We have about 5 weeks left before he arrives. Updates: This little guy was breech 6 weeks ago, finally turned a little and has been transverse (back first) for the past month! When I go in for my appointment next week we have to talk about options if he hasn't turned. Option #1: the doctor will try to turn him (which she says is painful) Option #2: plan for a c-section (no thanks!!). I am hoping he turns for this next appointment! I feel HUGE this time around! Even though I have only gained around 24 pounds, I feel much bigger. It is so hard to get things done.

This week I am also checking out daycare/at home centers. My mom is going to cut back next year and watch the boys 3 days a week. She is long overdue for some time off! So I need a place to put them for 2 days a week. It is sure expensive!!

We have our house back up for sale! We found a builder and are beginning the process of designing/changing the plans for our new home.

Now names for our little guy: we have decided on Keaton for the first name. The middle name is still in question. Right now it is between William or Ryan. Hopefully a decision will be made quickly!

I came home from work late on Friday night a couple of weeks ago and this is what I found! My little man on Will's big 4-wheeler. Will drove him from the backyard to the front yard and Dylan wanted to keep going! I think he is following in Dad's footsteps and going to do all of those outdoor things that make a mommy nervous!

He was showing me how to grip the handlebars. He is already a pro!

It was hard to get him to come in for dinner!

Big Boy Bed!

Last weekend we picked up Dylan's new mattress and set them up in his room. Will is working on the bed frame, and we thought it best to start with just the box spring and mattress.

He LOVES his bed! The first night he cried for a few minutes, but since then he doesn't make a sound. He will even go in there during the day just to climb up and lay on his bed!

He also doesn't get out during the night, which I was worried about at first. I am sure one of these days he will figure that out, but for now it has been great! We moved the crib into my "workout" room and began setting things up for the new baby. We rented a small storage shed for my workout equipment and a few other things so I have been really doing some major spring cleaning! We may put our house up for sale soon, so I wanted to pack up things we aren't using and make everything appear more open.

Yesterday Dylan turned 2! I cannot believe it. He is getting to be such a big boy.

I love this kid!

For his birthday breakfast I made him some bear-shaped pancakes. He loves to growl when he sees them!

After breakfast we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for some fun! Dylan LOVED the little rides and had a blast! This monster truck rocked and tilted all over the place. It was one of his favorites!

What a big horse! There was a screen that you watched that showed a horse race you were competing in as you rode. Dylan thought this was fun too!

Our Lot Purchase!

This is the site of our future home in Eagle! It is .57 acres and in a great neighborhood. We also were able to get it for an amazing deal! Now we are figuring out all the details to sell our home so we can start building. We have a floor plan picked out. It was actually a home we were able to walk through in the Parade of Homes. We have made some changes from the original floor plan to fit what we like. Hopefully everything will happen quickly as I am due May 4th and would like to have our new home at least started before this little guy arrives. We will see! Right now we are just VERY EXCITING on this amazing find!

This was the elf that was holding our envelope for the past week. Its constant stare was daring me to take a peek, but we held out and were FINALLY able to open the envelope late last night after returning from our Christmas Eve festivities. So...is it a boy or a girl? That is the question you all want to know. But considering I haven't been able to share the news with my family, you will all have to wait just a little bit longer! We had our ultrasound last Thursday. It was sooo hard to turn away as the doctor was finding out the sex. She wrote it down in the card we brought and included pictures of the lower half! =) We have 3 days to go until Christmas Eve when we will open it after putting Dylan to bed. Now we are just waiting....
